Sit Still and Breathe.
For the past several days I have felt a weight of heaviness that appeared to come out of nowhere. I found myself tire from not being able to sleep through the night. Yet, I continued to push myself through the day smiling and laughing hoping my energy was enough.
Finally, I had to sit and consider my thoughts and feelings. What was going on? What was I resisting? I needed to discover what was going on in my spirit so that I could be ok. And so, I did a heart check.
I realized that I was very much in my feelings after launching my book, The Other Side of Whole. I have been promoting and talking about the book. But I haven’t taken the time to sit with the emotions of launching such a deep and personal book about depression.
The Other Side of Whole is a poetic journey of living and surviving depression. I invite you to the conversation so that we can all be a part of this healing journey.
Is there something going on in your life that you just need to sit with? Are there feelings and emotions that you just need to give space to exist and be. Be kind to yourself. You are worth it. You’ll find that you’ll feel lighter when self-care is a priority.
